Hi! My name is Ruben(AKA Mr. Payaso) and welcome to my website! For those who don't know, Payaso (Clown in Spanish) has been my 'street' nickname for over 30 years! Im 53 years old, and have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. My Mom is Chilean, and my dad 1/2 Mexican, so I guess that makes me a Chile Bean! Born and raised in the southern Cali town of Pomona (P-Town), and grew up in the streets of Pomona, Los Angeles and Hollywood.
As a kid I loved comic books, Legos and GI Joes. Unfortunately, Palomares Jr High School was about to change my world forever!
In the early 1970's, I was forced to grow up, and learn about racism in the midst of the civil rights movement. I started running with Black and Hispanic street gangs at a young age, and have been going to jail since i was 15. I have been placed under arrest 25 times, have been to Los Angeles County Jail, San Bernardino County Jail, and San Diego County Jail. Ive Also served two prison terms, and I've been to 5 California State Prisons and have seven felony convictions!
Im not looking for trouble, its looking for me!!!
Ive been a partying fool, abusing drugs and alcohol, and addicted to crack cocaine and methamphetamine for most of my life. Ive lived the lifestyle that comes with addiction. From having more money than I knew what to do with to eating out of trash cans.
Ive lived all over Los Angeles, The Inland Empire, and San Diego. Ive also lived in Owings Mills Maryland, and currently reside in Rio Linda, No. Cal.
Im a big fan of music af all kinds. Jazz, latin Jazz, R&B, and especially Rock and Roll!! I Love 80's Metal and Punk, attending over 250 concerts in my lifetime.
After well over 30 years of living a life of crime and debauchery, I came to church one day, and everything changed. The price Jesus Christ Paid on that Cross all those years ago saved me from myself. After recieving Christ as my Lord and Saviour, and being born again, I seriously commited my life to Christ in 2008, and have been a servant of God since 2010.
I am now on the greatest journey of my life as I find all my past experiences are a very big part of my Ministry today. Doing God's work has been the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. My cup runneth over with so many blessings!
As i let Jesus in, he replaced all the bad things in my life with good things.
My Love for music has been re-ignited by Christian Music!! I sometimes find it hard to believe that Christian music can have the same finger-poppin' head-bangin effects on me as any good metal show or dance I ever went to-without the acid!!!
